Session 2 Mentoring by Sara Soltau, Cert. Adv. Rolfer, Santa Barbara
August 9th, 2013 by Joachim Creten
Requirered by the Rolf Institute, Boulder, CO to do min. 3 sessions mentored by an established Rolfer. Here what my client had to say after her second session:
Week 2: Lower body – concentrated on right foot, lots of scar tissue from acute plantar fasciitis three years ago. This session included tons of pressure to the point of pain in the arch and heel of my right foot. Left foot did not feel like he used as much pressure, but then again it doesn’t have all the scar tissue. At one point I walked across the room and felt as though my legs were not connected to my body. I didn’t feel that I could control them. I wobbled. Next he worked my thighs into my calves and down to my feet. Walking was fine – felt good! Each session includes intense focus on my part on what is actually happening inside me. Follow up: in the days afterward, I was able to walk comfortably across my hardwood floor without my right heel cracking and popping. Comfortable standing on tile floor.
